Differences between protocol and review

There are some differences between the published protocol (Dutta 2012) and the full review.

Debarati Dhutta and Medha Sule are no longer on the review team. One of the co‐authors of the protocol (Amita Ray) has now taken over as the contact person for this review. Sujoy Ray has now joined the review team as co‐author.

We have edited the review objectives for clarity.

We have updated the methods in line with the standard methods of Cochrane Pregnancy and Childbirth Group.

We have added the following comparison under our methods/types of interventions: Extended antepartum epidural therapy versus a combination of above therapies.

We have further clarified our criteria for carrying out sensitivity analysis in future updates.

Methods/data extraction and management ‐ we have clarified what information will be extracted from the trial reports.

We added in an additional search of ClinicalTrials.gov and the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP).
