Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To determine the effectiveness of PGE1 in maintaining patency of the ductus arteriosus and decreasing mortality in ductal‐dependent cardiac lesions and to determine the safety of PGE1 when used in ductal‐dependent cardiac lesions both short term (less than 120 hours) and long term (120 hours or greater).
