This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To compare the short‐term (near 6 months and near 12 months) effectiveness and safety of GnRH analogues versus GnRH analogues plus add‐back therapy for women with leiomyomas (uterine fibroids) complaining of excessive uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, or urinary symptoms.
