Surgical versus non‐surgical treatment for lumbar spinal stenosis
Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:
The objective of this systematic review is to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of surgery compared with different types of non‐surgical interventions in adults with symptomatic lumbar spinal stenosis. The primary outcomes will be quality of life, disability, function and pain, yet complication rates and side effects will also be considered. Outcomes will be evaluated in the short‐term, intermediate and long‐term (six months, between six months and two years and five years or more).
