This is not the most recent version

Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

The objective of this review is to determine the relative effectiveness and safety of phosphodiesterase inhibitor (PDE 3 A) derivative cilostazol compared directly with aspirin (frequently used as monotherapy for secondary prevention), in the prevention of stroke and other serious vascular events in patients at high vascular risk for subsequent stroke; that is, those with previous transient ischemic attack (TIA) and ischemic stroke.
