This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effects of mobile phone messaging for preventive health care, on uptake of preventive health care. Secondary objectives include assessment of patient and clinician satisfaction, safety, possible risks and harm and cost‐effectiveness of mobile phone messaging for preventive health care.
