This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To compare (1) fluoroquinolone antibiotics with other antibiotics, (2) different fluoroquinolone antibiotics against each other, and (3) different treatment durations of the same fluoroquinolone, in the treatment of enteric fever in children and adults.
