This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

To evaluate the effectiveness of the adhesives used to attach bands to teeth during fixed dental brace treatment, in terms of:
(1) how often the bands come off during treatment; and
(2) whether they protect the banded teeth against decay during fixed dental brace treatment.
