This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:

The objective of this review is to determine the effects of drug treatment of nocturia in adults.
The following hypotheses will be tested:
1. a drug is better than no intervention ;
2. a drug is better than a placebo drug;
3. one drug is better than another one;
4. combined drug treatment is better than a single drug.
